Project Description
The Municipality of Wood Buffalo required the removal of 12 vandalized houses, including tanks and septic systems, abatement, and mold remediation. The buildings were scattered and in remote locations. The scope included the site setup, safety, utility disconnects, abatement, removal, and disposal of all materials within a 6 week time frame.

Technology, Innovation, and Sustainability
Though it was not a requirement, a large amount of reclamation and recycling was implemented to divert material for repurposing.

Project Challenges Overcome

• There was limited access to the remote properties, and a high amount of ongoing break-ins.
• The adjacent areas were occupied and had high traffic, so logistics had to be managed precisely.
• Met a tight timeline despite the high degree of unknowns and challenges.
